About the Buckle
Re: development of a belt/buckle product.
The belt has a buckle at the end and the buckle is an interesting fastener or clasp. The words clasp and fastener seem to be used together; and maybe there is a difference between a clasp and a fastener. A buckle looks like a clasp because it is made of metail especially the belt buckles. But is it possible to develop fabric buckles or miniature buckles suitable for other types of fastener. The buckle is an interesting clasp because it is 'controlled' manually. It is not one-ended but open-ended in the sense that the buckle 'suits' the design of a belt because a belt is designed for many waist measurements. I think a belt is meant for many waist measurements but still a belt is designed, i would think, for a specific person with specific waist measurement fluctuations. Is a belt for a size 30 man suitable for a size 40? The answer is obviously no because there are different belt lengths. This is an interesting area. I am interested also in cheval mirrors now and buckles and belts are another topic.
